The Salary Of Group D In Railway Is Divided Into 4 Parts, Which Are: 1) Basic, 2) DA, 3) HRA AND 4) Transportation Allowance. There Are Few Deductions Also & They Are: 1) NPS, 2) Income Tax, 3) Professional Tax of state and 4) Group insurance. There are three stages of HRA in Indian railways. A class city 24%, B class city 16% and C class city 8%. Transportation allowance is two types for class A city Rs 3600 + current DA. Class B and C city Rs 1800+ current DA. Let us see a small calculation of Salary Of Group D In Railway For Example: 1) Basic 18000) 2) DA 18000*12%= Rs 2160/- 3) HRA = 18000 * 24%= Rs 4320/- 4) TA = Rs 3600 + Rs 432/- (DA on TA)= Rs 4032/- Gross salary = 1+2+3+4 = 18000+2160+4320+4032 = Rs 28512 Deductions 1 ) NPS 10 % of basic = Rs 1800/- 2 ) Professional tax = Rs 200/- 3 ) CGIS ( Group Insurance) = Rs 30/- 4 ) Income tax as applicable or may be not as per Tax slab. Total deduction = 1+2+3= 1800+200+30= Rs 2030 Now Net Pay Gross – Deduction = 28512- 2030 = Rs 26482/- |
